When you visit our practice, your smile and dental health is our top priority. Our team is dedicated to providing you with the personalized, quality care that you deserve. Our goal is to assist each patient in achieving and maintaining long term dental health and a beautiful smile.
In our West Vancouver office, each treatment room is equipped with flatscreen TVs for your entertainment enjoyment.
Digital X-ray technology minimizes your radiation exposure while providing higher quality images for diagnosis. Our new intra-oral camera lets us share close-up pictures of your teeth with you so you can see what we see.
Digital X-rays and photos can be easily sent to specialists or your insurance company to reduce delays and maximize your benefits.
In our Bowen Island Office, located at Artisan Square, Dr. Chao provides preventative hygiene care at your convenience.

Born and raised in North Vancouver, Dr. Chao attended local schools. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1990.

Alicia
Dental Hygienist
A resident of beautiful Horseshoe Bay, Alicia's goal is to always provide individualized care with a focus on achieving healthy outcomes with kindness and comfort. She prides herself on building trust and respect with all her patients. She is a Registered Dental Hygienist and has enjoyed a rewarding career over 20 years practicing in Hawaii, Washington and British Columbia. Outside of work Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and golden retriever on the local trails, skiing and surf trips to the Oregon Coast.

Receptionist
The West Coast is home for Judith. She has been caring with kindness and compassion for patients of the practice since 2008. When not in the office , birds and all things beautiful photography and artwork is her passion along with her two rescue cats. Love what you do.
Meet
Dr. Gloria Chao
Born and raised in North Vancouver, Dr. Chao attended local schools. She received her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from the University of British Columbia in 1990.
Dr. Chao established her practice in the community of Horseshoe Bay in 1991. The following year, Dr. Chao established a satellite dental practice on Bowen Island. In 2011, Dr. Chao relocated her Horseshoe Bay practice from Bruce Street to Galleries on the Bay on Royal Avenue.
Dr. Chao attends continuing education courses and study clubs to stay up to date on the latest advancements in dentistry in order to provide the most current, state of the art treatment options for you.
Dr. Chao is a member of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia and the Canadian Dental Association.
Dr. Chao and her husband are parents to three university aged children. Dr. Chao spends her spare time in her garden, at the pool, running trails and on the ski hills with her family.
